One of my favorite Dreamcast games, actually, so yes, I wouldn't mind a sequel.(never got around to playing the enhanced GC version)

One of my favorite RPGs of all time, for those on the fence about buying it, I definitely recommend. You won't find a better RPG for the low price, and what the game lacks in graphics it makes up for in its story, characters, world and wonder.

XBL Gamertag: StraitupBeastin
Pick it up. It's exploration, strategy, and awesome over top character moves still remain clear in my memory. Airship battles are fun and managing the ship and your crew were pluses. It was my second favorite gamecube game.(Phantasy star online being first.)
I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !
SOA:L was my favorite 6th gen jRPG (#2 is Suikoden V and #3 is Tales of Symphonia, sorry Soriku).
The character battle system was only average and the excessive enemy encounters (unless you get an optional item) are the only notworthy drawbacks of the game, IMHO.
Btw, I do own the original Dreamcast version as well. ;)
Edit : I forgot to mention I also hope for a Wii version as I feel it will allow them more freedom to recreate the elements that made the first SOA so wonderful. :)
Edit 2 : Some great music linked to in this post, along with my fav. :) http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=10421975&postcount=189
Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.
Definitely an underrated RPG that was destroyed by Sony fanboyism. Anyone that has a chance should pick it up to find an RPG that was truly revolutionary imo.
I played the game for Dreamcast and it was great. Make sure you play it.
Played it on Gamecube, very nice RPG (graphics aren't very good though).
This week it was listed as a game that will be shown at Sega's games event. Could be an early April 1st joke though.
| Soriku said: http://www.rpgamer.com/news/Q1-2003/031603a.html As you may have read in the most recent Japandemonium, a sequel to Sega's high-flying RPG Skies of Arcadia is in the works. While being interviewed by Kikizo, Overworks president Noriyoshi Ohba said, "The Skies of Arcadia sequel is in the planning stages at the moment." For those that don't know, Skies of Arcadia was originally released on the Sega Dreamcast, then slightly modified and ported to the Nintendo GameCube under the name of Skies of Arcadia Legends. Players assume the role of an air pirate named Vyse who ends up in an epic battle against a powerful tyrant, the outcome of which will determine the fate of the word. No other information on the game was given at the interview. RPGamer will continue to report on this game's details as they emerge. |
I can't trust Kikizo at all since they lied with the Shenmue III news.
