Not played Overwatch. Is it really that good although it has no sp?

It's the best multiplayer game I've played in a long time. Pretty much the only multiplayer game I've ever played where I usually still have fun even when I'm losing. The game is designed to make you feel better about how awful you are, because it tracks any kill that you participate in as a kill, instead of only the kills where you get the finishing blow. And there are characters that are easier to play than others, so you can always switch to one of the easier characters if you're doing poorly. I love it.

I do hope they eventually release a singleplayer expansion though, or a sequel with singleplayer. The backstories and lore they designed are really good, it's such a waste to not have singleplayer.

I'm crap at mp's of any kind, but I love the Killzone and Destiny mp.

Is there lots of customisation? what's the hook? I'm enjoying destiny due to the amount of guns, armor and visual customisation as well as leveling up. obviously the bounties, quests, co-op etc helps.

Wow, what a crap list. Also, guess they are among the astoundingly ignorant who don't know Monolith Soft is a first party developer for Nintendo, can't think of another reason to give an HD remaster the Nintendo game of the Year instead of XCX. Some rewards are good, others are just what? Best Audio to Fallout 4? Best Performance to the guy who does freaking Geralt?! I mean, I appreciate the great writing in Witcher 3 but the acting of Geralt is nothing special at all.

Go Pokemon Go! Glad it won a couple!

Pocky Lover Boy!

very lame.

I probably only played it for less than 10 hours because I didn't really like it (Only bought it cause my friends were buying it and it was cheap)

- You can access all the characters at the start. And theres a lot of variety

- Easy and quick to join a match

- The only time you would spend real money is for the skins and other customization. But you can also get the them for free

- Not much customization besides the aesthetics.

- You get matched up with anyone. Which sucks at the start because your going to feel sooooo weak when up against these already good players.

- It feels like it lacks content. Like how it could easily be a free2play game.

Here are the nominations for Best Nintendo Game:

  1. Fire Emblem Fates
  2. Kirby: Planet Robobot
  3. The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes
  4. Monster Hunter Generations
  5. Pokken Tournament
  6. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
  7. Xenoblade Chronicles X
  8. Yo-kai Watch
  9. The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
The fans voted, and for whatever reason they voted for Twilight Princess HD more than the others. I voted for Fire Emblem personally, seeing as it's the only one on the list I played.

Fallout 4 had an excellent soundtrack. not sure why you don't think it deserved the Best Audio win. Looking at the list of Best Audio nominations, it doesn't surprise me that Fallout 4 won, the only other games on the list that have a soundtrack I liked were indies, and indies aren't going to win a fan voted contest. As for Doug Cockle, I guess the majority disagrees with you, this was fan voted and he won. I enjoyed his performance as Geralt, though I personally voted for Shawn Ashmore in Quantum Break.

Wow, further proof that group thinking leads to terrible ideas sometimes :P

A HD remaster won best Nintendo game of the year. That kinda says it all about Nintendo in 2016.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE got robbed

And Xenoblade Chronicles X.  And Fire Emblem Fates.  And Kirby Planet Robobot.  And Pokken Tournament.  Don't get me wrong, I love Twilight Princess HD but to have a remaster win when several other great games launched is so ridiculous.  It shouldn't have even been nominated.

No, it says all about how dumb these Video Game Awards are (not that movie awards are any better). Fire Emblem: Fates was a very good game and one of the best strategy games I've ever played. A big step up from Fire Emblem: Awakening. Then there's also Pokémon Sun and Moon which are a big improvement upon Pokémon X and Y. There's also Kirby Planet: Robobot, which is more of the same as its predecessor, but still an overall good platformer.

Even when looking at metacritic these games all scored well:

- Fire Emblem Fates - Special Edition: 88%

- Pokémon Sun and Moon: 86%

- Rhythm Heaven Mega Mix: 84%

- Kirby: Planet Robobot: 81%

- Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE: 80%
