Its already  selling  like hot cakes.

Does it ?

'Cause it's definitely not the case at my EBgames. Went there yesterday and a guy asked about the PS4Pro and the girl at the counter said that it wasn't worth it if you didn't have a 4k TV, which he obviously didn't have. 3 PS4Pro box standing behind her too, without probably counting the backstore too.

A casual consumer will probably go with the cheapest option in any case.

This is way too broad of a stroke you're painting.  All consumers want a good deal, but even casual consumers are not going to pay for what they don't want regardless of price.

Every online retailer  rankings says different.

Here in my local game store there are 100ps4's still standing  but only 1wiiu.

Wiiu must be almost  sold out and the ps4 not selling  .

Maybe on your planet...

Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/PlayStation-4-Pro-1TB-Console/dp/B01LR207T8/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1479481598&sr=1-1&keywords=Ps4+pro

BestBuy: http://www.bestbuy.ca/fr-CA/product/playstation-4-console-playstation-4-pro-de-1-to-jeu-4k-3001511/10483513.aspx?path=3b273c5d6228f457ecc203470cb74c35fr02 (available offline/online)

Walmart: http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/playstation4-pro-1tb-console/6000196359165

And yes same here, EBGames and BestBuy, went there yesterday and they have plenty of Play Station Four Pro... Same for everwhere I went and online too.

Look, The Play Station Four Pro is a very very good machine and the most powerful console of the moment but the fact is that no, it is far from being Sold Out everywhere. Not in Canada at least. Not sure why people seem offended when someone shows it is not tho...

"Selling  like hot cakes" doesn't always equate to being sold out.  As someone had pointed out earlier, Sony overestimated in some regions, underestimated in others.

Not sold out in Canada. I went to a Best Buy last weekend and they kept replenishing Xbox One S's while the Pros just sat there.

So you sit there all day watching them replenish stock? How do you know they didn't restock pro 5 mins before arriving lol

That post made no sense. When I read it I thought about asking a similar question but decided to not even waste my time diving into this guys web of lies that he's about to start.

I concur. There's no shame in getting outsold by the NES Mini. It was to be expected, so it shouldn't be framed as a bad thing.

And it's not even a legit comparison to begin with.  Some from both sides are taking it all the wrong ways.

Probably, but since we're talking about the average-causal crowd here, I don't think it would be too far fetched to predict that the majority will go with the PS4 Slim since it's cheaper and already does the job well enough without adding 100 $ for a console who's potential can't be unlock without a 4k TV.

And a lot of casual consumers might have been convinced to buy a 4K TV without really knowing what they were buying, thus justifying a Pro, for example.  See what I did there?

Of course. No modern console should be left in the dust by a 30 year old system that launches with a limited games catalogue. We can only hope that it opens Nintendo's eyes and that they realize that they've made too much forgettable garbage. If they want to sell video games, they should finally take competition with their own legacy seriously instead of holding on to the misbelief that new automatically means better.

Now YOU'RE taking this a bit too far...

EDIT: But you are the one and only ROL.

Seems like a paywall to me.

"Whatever makes you feel safe."

And again you just proving my point about being offended; you are not even trying to understand what I am talking about.

The person I was responding to was challenging another one in Canada (BestBuy) who was saying it was not sold out at all. Not sure why you are talking about other regions... And in any case; selling like hot cakes would mean most likely sold out as I'm quite convincing Sony did not ship that many...

Like I proved, it is FAR from being sold out and everywhere we look at it is available. I'm sure some people can find some obscur places (in Canada again, us you follow me here) where it will be sold out but the you can buy a Play Station Four Pro without any problem in the majority of stores.

It seems the Pro is selling far less than I expected.

I thouhgt it would sell about 50% the PS4 2013 launch. Now I belive it will be close to 25%.
