And? My point was that Uncharted 4 and Halo 5 haven't stopped selling and combined they might reach a total above what Sun/Moon will sell lifetime. So the "10-12 Million figure" listed in the OP will no longer apply.

He just said 10-12million because that's the numbers they currently have 1 day before the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon. Thats not a parameter set in stone, obviously. The question is how long will it take for the game to outsell them, whichever sale numbers  they have by then. C'mon, you clearly understood it.

Yes... not your post in response to mine though, That Pokemon is going to sell for a length of time wasn't questioned.

I think it will outsell both within this year. Pokemon moon/sun released today in Australia and my friend works at eb games was doing the midnight launch said around 90% of the people bought both moon and sun.

It is an odd comparison due to many, many factors.

Uncharted came out in 2007. Halo in 2001. POkemon in 1996.

The 3ds came out in 2011. The ps4/xb1 in 2013.

The 3ds has about 60 million. The ps4 about 45 million, and xb1 (rounding up) 25 million.

Uncharted 4, and halo 5 both cost $60, Sun and Moon cost $40.

So you are looking at a system that has been out 2 years longer, has about 15 million more supporters selling a brand that has been out 5+ years longer for $20 dollars less.

That isn't even taking into account the pokemon TV show, card games, movies, and so forth.

There was a thread that was comparing Uncharted, Halo and Zelda. (I guess the person got it from that and just replaced it with pokemon)

 

Is Zelda fair to you?

Well Nintendo just announced that First Week shipments just passed 10 million, the most in 3DS history, and it's still got the month of December ahead of it, soooo...

Curious question that. On one hand Zelda will be on two systems, and is a old old brand that way outdates Uncharted/Halo.

On another it is starting 3 years behind the other two systems so that puts it behind as far as "support" yes.

In general yes I'd say it is fair. They won't have the "userbase" right away, but it is a popular brand. So it could go either way and could quite possibly outsell both.

Yeah. Dw theres sooo much comparisons here on Vgchartz that is just stupid or weird. But its more like "why not". Like its nice for people to make their own objective and bump it up if it happens or not. 

 

And it is a sales forum. Soooo I get the whole vibe going on here. Especially how theres games and consoles that we hardly get any data on, but VGC at least provide us some.
