Forums - Sales - Japan: Famicom Mini outsold PS4 Pro in opening week for both consoles

I bet a lot of people, even Japanese people (!), would like a more powerful NES more than the Switch or the Wii U.

Now they might have an item to get at least SOME of the xmas-money spent and they fucked up with a really bad distribution.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I mean it nearly outsold the Wii U's first week lol
And probably would have without stock issues.

65K ps4 pro sales in Japan? that's really impressive, I was expecting around 20k as I know Japan don't care about such things.

$400 vs $60

nice comparison

I'm surprised, but nice to see the greatest console of all time getting some more love

Around the Network

Well the Famicom Mini has games =p.

An interesting comparison, but not really a fair one. I mean the NES is only $60 and has 30 of some of the greatest games ever created on it.

Well, it seems like PS4Pro extra power wasn't needed in Japan... let's see when FF XV launch

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

I honestly dind't expect the mini to do so well, but it's not really comparable with the Pro :p
