Forums - Nintendo - Super Mario Run Release Date & Price Announced!

SMR price?

Too high 50 49.02%

It's a good price 24 23.53%

I'll buy it anyway 12 11.76%

Wasn't interested then a... 16 15.69%

Total:102

That's bit of a cocky move but we'll see how this turns out soon. Would've been more understandable if it was a real 2D Mario game instead of a run.

too high!

waiting for Androids anyway!

Switch!!!

I'm assuming no micro transactions with a $10 price tag.

Honestly that price is a bit too high for an endless runner IMO. It better be damn good to be paying for what you could typically get on the Appstore for free x.x

It's not really an endless runnner, though, is it? It's quite misleading to characterise it as such. It's an auto-runner, split into different levels and modes, rather than simply being an endless runner. The goal, like other Mario games, is to clear the levels, and not to survive as long as possible like (edited for clarity) endless runner games, which have randomly generated obstacles.

I won't judge the price until I have a better idea of how much content is in this, but I don't think it'd be a bad thing to see more premium mobile titles, if the quality and content justify the price point.

Who in their right mind thought they should sell an endless runner for $10? It's utterly insane!!

Not an endless runner tho, has like 30 levels, different modes and you can explore the levels in some way. So yeah it's runner but not one of those with a cheap design. $5 would be great, but it's mario on iphone, both companies want profit.

I guess they're trying to win whatever they could before lower the price. 10 is a bit expensive imo.

I imagine its probably going to get pirated a lot at that price.

It's Nintendo. Their game will probably blow the other games out of the water in terms of quality. Apple customers don't mind paying for quality.

Damn thats expensive. But as many said, it wont be that much of an issue, pratically on brands alone. Not only that, it will be probably be an excellent game(by what it is trying to do) and be the best game on its genre on mobile.Still, that price point will probably keep it from being as popular as Pokemon Go was.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
