Forums - Nintendo - Eurogamer: Zelda: Breath of the Wild to miss Nintendo Switch launch

BotW has only been delayed twice. Once in 2015 and again in 2016. Any other date has been preconceived by fan speculation and therefore is not an official delay.

Just a little FYI for those talking about "all the delays" the game has had.  Also Nintendo simply said 2017, they never gave a month.  So even if it was released in Dec 2017, it still only recieved two delays.  Luckily however I think they will try to keep it as a launch window game for switch even if it is not an actual launch title.

Still hope the speculation by Rodgers and Eurogamer are false, but I am not going to cry doom over delays that didn't really happen if it is true.

If it's delayed please don't push it to 2017 Christmas :(
A few extra months won't kill me but Christmas might

Actually this isn't delay, Nintendo never said that Zelda is Switch launch games, thats only assumed by fans, Nintendo just stated 2017. for Zelda BotW launch.

I just love that they plan to test 4 - 6 months and release it as close to as perfect as possible. It sucks that it is delayed, sure, but can we at least appreciate why? It will be the end of the world once Nintendo decides to release a game like Ubisoft does and hopes to patch it after the fact.

Even if it was twice that still makes it a 2 year delay (which is the time some games is made tip to tail)

Hmm, I just wonder how much more they're going to delay it. It shouldn't be much longer now before it releases.

I guess we could have it in May, we had Mario Kart in May 2014. and Splatoon in May 2015.

As long as there are some new games, I won't really complain with a May release

They need to have at least a big core game at launch. If its something like Animal Crossing, Ill cry.
