No, I believe Nintendo care for their own success and so will judge accordingly. If the game was finished instead of Mario, it would be a launch title. Their thinking more strategic than Zelda= Holiday. If Zelda goes gold in April and their other Switch titles like Pikmin 4 and Luigi's mansion are still months away from being finished and looking like they won't go gold til August/September, do I think that they will force Zelda into the holiday season and suffer a drought in the meantime? Laura Dale already leaked that the Wii U version may not hit the intended launch until the Switch version release, even if it is several months after launch.
