Isn't that a design choice, though? The game have physical calculation for weathering and environment, real-time global illumination, also being open-world and all. Those advanced technical aspects surly were more important to SE than AA and post-processing, or even the resulotion which is dynamic on both consoles unfortunately. I honestly think it is kind of silly to compare it with Titanfall 2 which is very limited in its design. It is always about the priorities.

It's not about design, in my opinion. Again, recent games showed a major improvement for the second wave games this gen in terms of IQ. FFXV seems to still be a first wave game and right from the beginning was a technical mess - they are only making small improvements in the latest build.

Yes, the emphasis for this game is different but still they left out a decent AA solution that others are able to utilize.

Either way, the game will fail on XBO but given that the game seems to look so bad on this system, they are also responsible for that.

Just to be clear. What I'm saying is that they are "left out a decent AA solution that others are able to utilize" because they have other advanced technical aspects in their game, which require heavy resources, that no other game have this gen on consoles, as far as I'm aware. So this is why I'm saying it is a design choice, and it is understandable imo. I can't say they are right or wrong for having global illumination over better AA or the other way around. There will always be compromises due to consoles limitation.

Oh, that is what you meant. Well, it seems the game tries to achieve more than the consoles are capable of, even after the massive downgrades.

Given the result, I think they put the priorities wrong. Such a blurry image negates all the fancy stuff they were trying to achieve.

Depends on whatever they'll do. Certainly won't go down by standing still though :P

The video of the Titan boss battle seemed to be 30fps locked, or close to it, on XBO months ago. So that's a good sign.

Thats weird. Why is the a noticeable difference between the ps4 and xbox one version? Every other game comparison videos i couldnt see the difference but this theres a huge difference.

Maybe they changed the final resolution for XBO now that the game is finished? I haven't compared them before so I don't know if it used to be at a higher resolution.

i meant other games video comparison like rise of the tomb raider, titanfall 2, battlefield 1, assassins creed syndicate i could only see a slight difference or no differences at all but this ff15 video theres a big difference between the two version.

PS4 Pro looks very similar to PS4, and Xbox One is looking quite blurry compared to both. Look great everywhere though. From what I've seen so far, it looks like I won't be missing out on too much (or anything interesting really) by getting a regular PS4 instead of a Pro. I'm actually surprised at how small the differences have been thus far.

I'll be content with the original PS4 version but the Pro looks fantastic!

Even the regular PS4 version looks light years ahead to the Xbox One and OG PS4 supports HDR too

Technically, this game seems like a mess. Many recent games have shown very good results in terms of AA and post-processing - especially Titanfall 2 looks amazing on consoles. It seems that Square is left behind these recent developments in terms of IQ and it shows dramatically.

or maybe its because its a very demanding game looking like CGI quality of previous FF games plus being open world,

this game completley destroys Witcher 3 or any other open world game in terms of graphics not an opinion its a fact

It's also a fact that the game was downgraded, doesn't run native on vanilla consoles and has framepacing issues.

DF agrees with me

This is one of the games that sold me on getting a PS4 Pro for launch!

Cannot wait to get my Ultimate Collectors Edition in 15 days

I have a pro now so im locked an loaded. I bought it for this game. Currently the pro offers the best experience for this game so i think my purchase was justified.
