Fire Emblem would be my answer. It's my second favorite franchise after Pokemon.
Xenoblade is what I voted for. But I like Captain Toad. I don't know if it could be considered a franchise since there is only the one game though.

I think Nintendo outright said they consider AC and FE to be grouped with the "major IP's". They were the first annouced mobile games too, which might show some credence.

But I know tomorrow I will wonder why I didn't vot for Metroid...

It's a hard pick between kirby and fire emblem, but I go FE in the end. I love replaying those over and over again, while Kirby, I only replay Super Star.

Metroid for sure, it's my favourite Nintendo franchise. Kirby and Animal Crossing (if this counts?) are also pretty fun and I've liked what I played of the FE series so far.
