Gta4 which version will you buy?

The 360 also has a  massive 7 million lead on the ps3 I consider in this consol war gta 4 can turn the tide it is make or brake for the ps3.There is no doubt that ps2 already had a gap on the xbox before gta 3  came out. Now Microsoft have the gap.ps3 will have tons of more games to come. However none of those games  are mainstream as GTA4 . by no means been a gta fan since I have always had a Microsoft consol. yet now I finally get my opening to sling it out on the 360 .However In Europe because of the price all my mates have got a 360 and now they are saying that the price was not the only reason why we got a 360 it is because of Gta4.which one will you buy . Is the download content that important to you?

360 fans will say the DLC is important and PS3 fans will downplay it, in reality it's probably somewhere in between.

Personally I don't care about the DLC, but I'm just not a big completionist or a huge GTA fan, although I do have it preorderred (for the PS3).

I'm in Europe, and GTA4 is going to be the 360 system seller for me. It wouldn't happen without the price cuts it got though. I'll just wait for confirmation on whether there'll be a cheap bundle, if there isn't I'll just buy them separately.

If you had a choice between the PS3 version and 360 version then you would have to be insane to get the PS3 version. It's like saying ''Yes I don't want the option to add more content, I want the version that has been known to have issues in development''

For me the download content is important. The DLC for crackdown was great and I think it will be even better for GTA4. I actually think the DLC will end up being a lot more than your average games DLC. Somewhere between normal DLC and an expansion.

I don't think GTA IV will be 'make or break' at this time. It will sell well for both (in proportion to install base) but I don't see it changing the landscape - it would need to be exclusive IMHO to do that. The real battle this year I think will be MGS, etc. on PS3 with GOW2 and Fable 2 etc. on 360.

I just don't think enough average joes are going to even know DLC exists.

@Reasonable: they will know if Microsoft markets the hell out of it.

I think we're never going to know the breakdown for sure because getting accurate European numbers seems to be much more harder than Japanese and North American ones.
