I missed a day, and one remains unsolved, so here we gooo

36 - time to prep up, put on your gloves and mask, and head to room 201, because you're needed for one of the most uncommon professions in a video game, stat!

35 - A fresh new IP from an old horse, this game is hip, cool, and very messy.

34 - An overview RPG with the feel of a Dungeons and Dragons game, but as a game. Roll your stats, choose your class, your alignment, and get ready for an adventure, featuring a giant miniature space hamster!

#35 SoulCalibur II

That game that introduced me to the franchise, and still my favourite entry in it. I think that this is where the series gameplay was at its best, while the new elements introduced in later games have been somewhat hit or miss. Some of them are welcome additions, while others feel pointless and superfluous, sometimes even detrimental to the game. This one also perhaps the best character roster in the series, as most of the later additions to the series haven't been as interesting, with a few exceptions of course. I know a lot of people prefer the Gamecube version of this game since it features Nintendo's Link as a guest character, but my favourite version is the PS2 one mostly thanks to the controller being much better suited for fighting games in my opinion.

And here's a hint for the next game:

Part of a very long running RPG series. The first game in the series created by this particular developer. The player pursues a court Jester who cast a curse on a Kingdom and stole a powerful artifact.

So I am way behind so I'll just leave a string of hints and hope someone guesses them all. :D

39. This sequel to a game that is already been on my list tells you exactly where to shove it.

39. It's the followup game to another game already listed here. If you know me, you know this is one of my favorite franchises and one of my favorite developers.

Ratchet & Clank Up Your Arsenal

And I don't even know you that well!

Pokémon Blue Version as guessed by Slarvax

'Pokémon Blue Version' is a very special game for me in various of ways. Not in the least part because it is just a very good game. One of the few role playing games that I liked over the years, and technically, probably the only 'jRPG', but I guess that depends on your definition of the genre.

The game was a phenomenon. People would say Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto today, are big. But no, Pokémon, that was big. Everything lived and breathed Pokémon back in the day. This is the only game ever which I know was big with literally everyone, and everyone played it. Gamer of not, it was everywhere and on everything. The fact that the franchise is still big today, is testament to how big it once was. My friends played it as well, and we played and talked about it all the time. It was the talk of the playground day in, day out.

This game also ties into a strong memory about my late dog. When he was young, I left my GameBoy Color laying around with Pokémon Blue inside and 'The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening' in the case. Being a troubled dog with a tough character back then, he proceeded to try to eat said GameBoy. With GameBoy's being indestructible, it of course still worked, though the screen was replaced because it had a line of dead pixels. My 'Link's Awakening' cartridge was completely shattered, because being in the case meant it was on the front line. Pokémon Blue however has only a big hole where the dog's tooth sank in, but still worked perfectly. It does to this day. That cartridge is now forever a tangible memory of that dog and a big piece of my childhood.

Ocarina of Time?

36 - The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

I didn’t have a Gamecube so I wasn’t able to play Wind Waker until Nintendo published the HD remaster on Wii U. It certainly falls short in the number of dungeons and many of the little islands are perhaps too uninteresting, but in exchange the artistic style is impressive, the World is huge and full of secrets and sailing is a pleasure. Indeed, wandering in your ship visiting different places and looking for treasures is my favorite part of the game, and I only regret that, as I said, there aren’t more big islands to explore outside the principal ones. Also Tetra character is great!

35 – The Sims

For some people it might be difficult to believe, but The Sims is one of the most revolutionary games ever. First of all, with it contributed largely to create the distinction between casual and hardcore gamers: it wasn’t the first successful casual game, but it was one of the first games which was considered “not a real game” by a group of gamers that saw how something so different from the traditional tropes of the medium had become the most popular game of the moment.

But, market issues aside (the enormous success of the game expansions probably paved the way to the DLC proliferation), the game was revolutionary for its concept: the game didn’t have a goal, nor required any ability by the player, it wasn’t even set in a futuristic or fantastic ambient and it didn’t have any kind of action or story. The player just takes control of a family and just does whatever s/he wants (even money constraints, the only challenge offered by the game, can be easily avoided thanks to cheats). 16 years later that kind of proposal for a game are still very marginal and usually found in the indie scene (with some exceptions).

Also, the game was terribly addictive.
