46th - Yoshi's Woolly World
A simple, cute little platforming that can get boring fairly fast. Although, I believe this is the best 2D Platformer on the Wii U (haven't played Tropical Freeze); it holds amazing graphics, an odd but fitting soundtrack, amazing world (specially the aesthetics) and level design. It is very creative, with (I believe) a different gimmick or concept in each level. Vertical movement, pushing blocks, going from background to foreground, and much more. And they don't only play differently, they all look or have a very different theme! Similar to all Yoshi games, there are also many items to collect throughout the whole game to unlock different goodies... 1 of which is boring and useless, that being the Miiverse stamps. Now, I don't have a problem with the stamps themselves; the problem is they substituted coins (and red coins) with Kirby's Epic Yarn's gems... which do absolutely nothing (unless you wanna play an easy game - with an easy mode - even easier). This in turn makes all the gems feel meaningless, and since they should be your main motivation to explore most of the levels... well, bad and boring.
On the other hand, there's also the yarn ball things, 5 in each level, which unlock a special skin! Now that I can get behind with, and perfectly justifies transforming the Yoshi world into wool and stuff. There's also some lame attempt at "bringing back the cool transformations from Yoshi's Island" in some levels (like Umbrella Yoshi or Giant Yoshi), which are just boring and unnecessary. The story is "we didn't even try" levels of laziness, which I'm getting sick of. But in any case, I like this game for its world and level design, which are great and very creative.
