You started that by bring FTP games into this.

Except only two of those are and even then FtP has nothing to do with the users. You're shifting this again.

What's there to shift?  facts are,  battlefield,  cod and titanfall series all far more popular on console and lack of players can be a major issue on pc.  these are massive red flags for fans of these series when considering the platforms.

The shift from the talk of other shooters that still have PC players. You're going with just EA and Activision pbubed shotoers ehre and ignoring all the others out there.

Also Titanfall 2 isn't selling all that well thanks to the release date that they chose between BF1 and CoD.

Lack of players isn't a massive issue on PC though and it's not for me on BF1, I'm finding servers all the time, always finding a game via the browser or by quick play.

You're still turning this into a scenario where PC isn't good for shooters at all and yet they are.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

If they were going to cut Windows Store off from the rest of the PC community, they should have merged the Windows 10 and Xbox servers. and even that would have been less than ideal. This just seems like such a boneheaded move.

Obviously there's no problem with BF1 atm.  it just released.  like there wasn't any problems with BF: hardline when it released and yet it turned into a ghost town.

I'm ignoring nothing.  I'm talking the big AAA block buster shooters that release on all 3 platforms. and facts are,  the player base is far superior for those on console.

Look at that Vgchartz guy recently who made the thread.  should I get battlefront on pc or ps4? a few advised pc,  he got it and straight complained nobody was playing.  case in point.  zero problems like that on ps4.

So you'rwe stating that BF1 on PC will just turn into a ghost town?.

You are, you're only going on about CoD and BF with Titanfall and nothing more, there are other shooting games out there besides those 3 and you know damn well that there are people out there on PC playing other games and other shooters.

He got it from the Windows store, that Activisions cerewed over, I cannot believe you are warping the results from those that play it on Steam compared to the Windows store. He should get it on Steam, not the clearly lacklusture reproted Windows store.

I'm talking the big AAA block Busters here.

BF1 won't become a ghost town  but it will have a much lower player count in future compared to ps4 and probably xb1.  this means the lesser played game modes and lesser populated region servers will struggle big time.  limiting your options and experience.

Activision didnt think this though. They probably expected record breaking sales.

I wonder what kind of cooperation it would take to fix this situation. Is there some technical reason the Steam and Windows Store versions can't talk to eachother? You wouldn't think so, even if one is win32 and the other is UWP, it should still be possible.
I just wonder, if MS or Activision took steps to fix it, would Steam play ball given that their refusal could go towards crippling the competition? Does Steam even need to cooperate for it to be fixed?

You're not talking about similar shooters.  that are frankly completely irrelevant to cod/titanfall/bf.

BF1 won't be a ghost town but it will be a far lessor experience down the line in terms of player base.  cod this year already has low numbers.  it will be a ghost town.  titanfall has tiny numbers. it will be a ghost town.

That's 2/3 main shooters this holiday and the third not ideal.

Only 31k online right now. That's not ideal so soon after launch.  peak is only 90k. this wont be pretty in 12 months.
