I assume this thread is because in general you'd sit further away from a large TV, so you'd notice the noise more if you played on a smaller tv (and sat closer to the console).

I always play with headphones so I have no clue.

I play on a 40' TV and sit at 2 m from it. But I can really only hear the fan in cases like Uncharted 4 starting up or loading screens. During gameplay it's not noticeable. I don't think it's loud at all.

Bet with jetforcejiminy: PS4 will pass the Wii lifetime numbers.

I am going with the assumption that 50 inch is somewhat big, the noise only bothers me on very demanding games like Uncharted 4. Anyway I hope the pro is less noisy than the vanilla PS4
