Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo is going to win the holidays with NES Classic Edition

RE: http://www.aol.com/article/games/2016/11/03/nintendo-is-going-to-win-the-holidays-with-nes-classic-edition/21597966/

Hundreds of hours of nostalgia packed into a tiny box that is smaller and lighter than your mobile phone.

Nintendo seems to have stumbled onto the perfect holiday gift with its NES Classic Edition. The diminutive plastic box packs 30 classic games into a pint-sized recreation of the original NES. It's USB-powered and spits out video via HDMI, but the games look and play just like they used to. All for $60.

I think the NES Classic will be pretty popular this holiday. I'm buying one day 1 with an extra controller and due to idiocy in their design, a really long HDMI cord too.

Who's with me?

I'm with you, my 10 meter long HDMI is ready.

lol I disagree but would be funny if this outsold every other console this holiday.

I sometimes think people on websites like this overestimate the number of people who want to play old games. Will it do well? Sure. Win the holidays? What does that even mean?

Lol. What a thread title/headline

Just us an emulator on a Phone/Tablet/PC/DS/3DS/PSP/Vita/PS2/PS3/Wii/WiiU/Xbox/Browser/Toaster

I really don't see point in it, for a little more than $60 you could get an actual NES, sure you wouldn't get tons of games with it but I'd much rather have that...

It will sell every single unit they ship, I agree.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Well on one hand it is $60 so it is very cheap.

On another it is 30 year old games on a small wired controller.

Gonna go with no.

I don't get any of the hype either.

The games are so old and so massively played by now, I don't see why anyone is excited by another way out of a 1000000 to play them again.

YASSSSSSS!!! HAHAHA!

Pocky Lover Boy!

I do think it will win for most returns after the holiday season is over. A lot of parents are going to find out that this isn't what Little Jimmy meant when he said he wanted a video game system for Christmas.
