I agree, the demand for Nintendo handheld will benefit the Switch greatly.

By the way, Zombi (aka ZombiU) is 3 bucks on PSN, Sale of the dead...
Unprecedented partnership confirmed. The NS praise just keeps on and on.
Ubisoft also praised the WiiU prior to its release.
They even had 2 exclusives scheduled to be included in the console's initial line up.
Rayman Legends and Zombie U. They bombed on the WiiU platform.

To be fair, I think I recall everyone praising the concept of the Wii U but later on, as more became known about the console (lackluster power, difficult to program for, lack of tech support, subpar online and others) those negatives made it too much of a hassle to develop for, especially when compared to the PS4/XB1.
Watch Dogs 2 confirmed?
I would really enjoy that on Switch. That said, I hope Switch owners are less bitter than Wii U ones were with regards to boycotting anything and everything that was either delayed, or not as good as other platforms.
I still think Ubisoft's comments aren't just the usual PR talk. This time we are even seeing Take2 promising games (plural!).
Btw, he also said the following: "In addition to Just Dance 2017, I'm thinking especially about a game that will surprise you a lot!"
Imo, i don't see this being BGE2.
As much as that game has a cult following, the only thing surprising about it would be it being exclusive. And even then...
I saw a comment raising the possibility of Nintendo handing them one of their IPs. And if that happens, now THAT would be surprising!

^This. I'm sick of ASSassin's Creed. Bring back Prince of Persia you knobs!!
This can be a turning point for Nintendo and third parties. A handheld powerful enough to play console games hasn't been done before. It really is a great secondary console. Play your favorite game on the PS4 or XB1 and buy it on the Switch to play it on the go. Great news all around.

exactly, even if the concept "is not new" for some people, I like this about the switch. I have a pc and a ps4, I don't need another clone.
