Yeah, people who are in danger of dying when on job or get diseases, they are fine, but those precious actors getting a sore throat? NOT ON OUR WATCH!!!

While I can understand the counter-arguments in regards to residuals/payment aspect you're bringing up, can't say I'll buy objections to these points. Hell, point one can be beneficial to both parties long term. "Sore throat?" Try the possibility of blowing your voice out and having to be on hiatus for a bit just to get back to normal. If the storyteller's want to get the most out of their VA's, it'd be wise to do nothing of the sort that'd seem like they're pushing it. Point two seems reasonable under more action-oriented sessions. Standard procedure for Hollywood and the AAA industry is becoming that more and more.
It's tough for me to say how transparent/untransparent VA contracts are now, but if improvement needs to be made then by all means.

They were given an option for this. The actors wanted the stressful voice acting to be no more than two hours at a time, so they were given the option to split their 4 hour sessions into two 2 hour parts. The second part to be done within 5 days. It wasnt good enough for them apparently.
Also actors arent doing any dangerous work. They sit, run, talk and maybe roll on the floor a bit. If its anything risky, they use a stunt double.
