Forums - General - I spilled coffee in my car this morning.

:::rant:::

This morning was going relatively well. Getting up and all went pretty good, and it's my duty five mornings a week to drop off my kid at kindergarten.  You can either let the children off by going through the drive through and dropping them off at the door, or you can park and walk your kid to the door.  Normally, I'd do the drive through, but the line was pretty long this time.  So when I parked, I sat my coffee on the center console between the two front seats to walk my kid to the door.  When I got back, I had forgotton I had coffee, and my right elbow jabbed and tipped over my coffee mug.  Coffee ran down the back of the console and all over the the back passenger side floor. I know crud happens.  But I've been taking good care of this car to where you can still smell a tint of that new car smell on the right day.  But bloody hell, coffee of all things.  Amazingly, I was feeling pretty content given that there was nothing I could do at the time.  I cleaned what I could when I got to work, but yeah, I'll take care of this baby when I get home tonight.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't have kids, a car or drink coffee, so my day was pretty awesome.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I bet you don't take showers, too.  You have the best life ever.

You have a drive through. At your kids kindergarden. Where you hand off your kids.

I'm sorry but from a pedagogy standpoint thats just hairraising to me.

Also cupholders.

That's nothing. I accidentally poked a hole in my bumper, so now I'm out $720. -_-

Hunting Season is done...

My mom accidentally hit a dog the other week

Once we accidentally spilled a nearly full bottle of expensive perfume in the trunk of our still pretty new hybrid car while moving to a new house. Smelled great on my wife, not so much as a dense haze that didn't leave the car all summer...

Now we have kids and stopped caring about what the car looks like. Had to swap the futuristic hybrid for a mundane Honda CRV to fit the kids. It has become another storage space, plus my wife is a gardener, transporting plants and dirt in it.
