How many of the original DKR characters does Rare own?

I assume at least Banjo and Conker couldn't be in the new game. :/

Most of them :(

The Kongs are owned by Nintendo, and also Krunch I believe.

But Nintendo could definitely fill a roster with other characters.

Diddy Kong
Dixie Kong
Cranky Kong
Lanky Kong
Tiki Goon
Dillon
Mallo
Rusty
Chibi-Robo
Starfy

If true, I just hope that it isn't Retro making it.

Where did you see MK8 and splatoon running on switch?

In Switch video, but they look more like remasters with new content.

Yeah none of it was running on a switch though. But I'm guessing at least the 1st party games were real and not fakes like skyrim and NBA

That's the dream. Turn Smash/Kart/Splatoon into platforms and make other games instead of sequels to those.

Though Splatoon does need a sequel since there's too much wrong with that game to just build on top of.

I'd rather them leave the Kong cast out and just have minor characters and side kicks instead. Nintendo has a bunch.

Diddy Kong Racing without Diddy Kong would be weird...

As a gamer who enjoy single player more, Diddy Kong Racing was better than mario kart. So yes, please.

I really love DKR, but I'm not sure if DKR2 without Rare would be a great idea...

Sry what!? :)

Despite some flaws Splatoon is great game and actualy one of biggest win for Nintendo this gen.

All I care about is a XCX port.

I think Nintendo could easily reach 2m total sales with XCX if they remaster/port it to the Switch.  One of the biggest disadvantages to XCX was that Nintendo's JRPG audience resided on the 3DS.  With the Switch essentially combining their handheld and console markets into one, they could potentially expose XCX to an entire audience that loves JRPGs but never got the opprotunity to play it.
