Forums - Gaming - DriveClub final update, 15 new tracks (free)

I'll probably give this a rental once I get my PS4 Pro. Seems like it has alot of easy trophies at least. Shame it's not likely to get a Pro patch though, would have been nice to get a 60 fps lock (if possible), or if not, some graphical improvements and super-sampling at 1080p.

The full game costs $7.50 now (ps+ price, I guess $10 without). That gives you access to all the tracks. (Paid DLC is extra cars and campaigns)

DriveClub is a perfect candidate for a pro patch, but I guess Sony doesn't feel like advertising with it anymore? And where is Motorstorm :/

I've gotten every single driveclub trophy for both the vanilla game, the bikes and all the dlc. So I've properly experienced the insane levels of support this game got.

This final update was unexpected, emotional and it's blown me away. A beautiful surprise.

Anybody know if it will get any additional trophies?

Probably not, no campaign update for the city tracks either, all standalone. I guess lvl 120, elite 60 is the max it's going to stay at.
DriveClub VR has its own trophy list, it's completely separate, lvl 60, elite 10 is the max there (for now?)

I checked and I'm still missing 2 trophies for bikes, 2 boring ones, spend an hour in photo mode and save a replay after a 6 player online race. I wonder how the bikes would do in VR. First person mode on the bikes on my projector is already more intense than anything I've played in VR. I did notice that the camera shakes a lot more in the normal version. I guess they spare you that pleasure in VR.

As for numbers, over 6 million unique players have at least tried DriveClub (looking at the leaderboards). But less than a million have actually bothered to make decent progress in the game. Old school racing is niche nowadays.

It' hard to imagine they won't give the VR a Pro patch.
And honestly, same for 2D, a Pro patch would be great, could even offer a 60fps mode.

afaik the latest info is that VR version will get a Pro patch, but one with minimal effort in which they didn't at all go to the limits of the Pro - better render resolution already should make quite a big difference in VR mode though

of course, certainly for patches it is about minimal effort, to really take it to the limit would be seen when starting dev with that in mind.
(or at least taking that in mind half-way thru dev process when basic render architecture is still up for change)
IMHO it would be really nice to see two modes, one for max res/fx, and one for 60 fps (that may have some res/fx advantage)

This is such a cool fun game, the sure game for me when I want to have a quick relaxing game session.

Damn, over two years after release, and even after the developer was shut down, we STILL get DLC!

It's such a shame about Evolution Studios, they made something absolutely fantastic with this game, they deserved so much more, their continuous support with this has been amazing!

Is the update out now? I want to try these tracks out!

Yes, it's been up since yesterday. 5 GB download.
