we don't want this paper mario, we don't want that metroid. it's simple.

Super Paper Mario wasn't an RPG and sold 3.7 millions.

Color Splash will have trouble to reach 500k at this rate.

It's typical of Nintendo these days, botched games, half finished, games that refuses to be waht the fans asked for, released with little to no marketing.

The Nintendo Quality is really not what it was, I don't get why people don't see it. Nintendo dis a terrible job with their WiiU games.

Not really. Sure some of their games in the last year have been underwhelming, but to say Nintendo has done a terrible job with all their WiiU games is not true imo.

I would agree with that. Half finished is harsh, it's more like it's a low budget, low ambitiong ames while the others Paper Mario in the past were full games  worth every 50-60 euros it cost.

People are talking about the RPG side too much. Super Paper Mario wasn't a RPG, but it was a high quality game, full of innovative ideas.

Nintendo has released way too much games in the 70% of metacritics, it has to stop. No Nintendo game should be under 80, and their best games should all score 90+ like before.

When looked at collectively though they have done a terrible job. Theirs some great games here and there but with so few games you can't have games like Color Splash, Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival, Mario Tennis Ultra Smash etc.

When you compare it to there other home consoles it's obviously their weakest lineup in history.

Again all pretty much in the last year. Their efforts have obviously been shifted to the Switch. 2012 to about half of 2015, they made some great games for the WiiU.

VGcharts articles about sales in US and Europe.

http://www.vgchartz.com/article/266374/paper-mario-color-splash-sells-an-estimated-64k-units-first-week-at-retail/#comments

We already knew it bombedhard in Japan, (28 000 after 2 weeks, with 7800 the second week).

What is cause? Low quality compared to the others? It was litterally the last decent game released on Wii U by Nintendo.

You really wonder? WOW

Simple, released so late! Wii u is in death state, any software released for it after switch announcement and close to switch release will sell badly! If it was released on March, the last month of the wii u, it might have done way better! Also, another cause might be the game itself. ;)

Maybe even the Zeld botw won't do well too in spite of being an overly anticipated game by wii u owners for so long! Those might just buy it on switch and others being infuriated with Nintendo for how they treated them in last year of the wii u and abandon them...

Super Paper Mario (Metacritic:85; 53 of 56 reviews positive) vs Paper Mario:Color Splash (Metacritic:76; Only 44 of 63 reviews positive)

If the game was good it would sell.

That's my opinion too.

Nintendo releasing a major game with a metacritic score of 76 is unacceptable. The standard of quality has not been met.

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone at Nintendo. Happy with this and Farce sales. Shows Nintendo fans can't be fooled this easily anymore. Let's see how they respond with the next games.

I was expecting a bit more, but wasn't expecting much anyways so it's to be expected

Unexpected that I used expected so much :/
