Chart above shows that as of the 35th month (launch alligned) shipments of the PS2 are slightly ahead of the PS4 now. However, this will change again by the end of the Q3 2016 and the PS4 will be back ahead. 

3.9M shipped during Q2 2016 (jul-sept) which is 100k less thsn the same time last year.

For context, 8.4M consoles were shipped in Q3 2015. We are currently in Q3 2016. So it's a safe bet to have 55-56M shipped by the end of December 2016.

Great numbers. PS4 Pro might give some boost. PS4 might cross 90 million LT.

Yup. I expect it to totally eclipse the financial sector soon though, especially if services like PlayStation vue are under the Playstation section (no reason why it shouldn't be)

About two million in the channel and stock sounds about realistic, which means we probably have it undertracked by about 800k-1 million or so lifetime on the front page. Better tracking than Q1 anyways!

Oh, and VGC has the PS4 heavily undertracked.

As of October 1st VGC has PS4 at 44.7 whereas at the end of September Sony has total shipments of PS4 at 47.4M

So thats 2.7M PS4s in the channels??? No way.
