Do you honestly see any publication of note giving VC a shot at RPG of the year? Fallout 3 maybe, but VC?

It can happen.  Some publications chose Persona 3 over Mass Effect for Best RPG of 2007 i.e. Gamespot

But even Persona has a far bigger brand recognition than VC.  Not to mention an enormous quality advantage.

 

So, Persona 4 best RPG of 2008?  : )

Already made decisions on the quality of VC before it's even out eh Starcraft? Someday you'll have to show me that crystal ball that tells you what games are better quality than others.

I think that Persona 4 will be the best JRPG of the year, and Fable 2 or Fallout 3 will be the best WRPG. After that it's just preference.

I think Warhammer Online will probably win Best RPG of 2008. It's the biggest RPG release since World of Warcraft, in any platform, and it's being developed by a very experienced team.

Fable 1 was a very mediocre game. And it seems Fable 2 will be more of the same.

Absolutely.  Because it IS out. 

It's been out in Japan for some time.
