And if not, I'll give RPG to Mass Effect PC this year.  That's bound to be better than Fable 2.

No it was because of Molyneux talking about shit that didn't exist anywhere other than on Lionhead's private servers.  But this time around the hype is coming from members of the gaming media who have actually seen the game running with all it's features.

count me in the believers... why??? just because it's peter who said so... if last fable wasn't up to expectation it wasn't the fault of the dev studio but the XB being not enough powerful to take it... now with the 360 I think they have enough to work out what they wanted to do in the first place... don't forget that that game take its roots more than a decade and half ago in the mind of the 2 brothers...

Count me in as one of the believers. Until we know more about FF13 than a few screenshots, and if it even releases this year, then Fable 2 will definitely be the must-play RPG of the year.

I don't think it's trolling to point out that you probably shouldn't call something the GOTY for it's genre without even playing it. That goes for people acting like they know what the GOTY for 08 is as well. Sure Fable 2 has a chance to be the best RPG of the year, but it's certainly not set in stone or without competition like the Thread topic would make one believe. Infinite Undiscovery, Valkyrie Chronicles, The Last Remnant, hell even Disgaea 3 has a long shot at being the best. It's just way too early to call with any kind of certainty.

And Yes this is how alot of people got disappointed by the first one, by getting their hopes up far too much, but that goes for any game people haven't played yet.

first of all thats assuming it comes out in 2008. i know the guy said it would but they said brawl would come out march 2007, so you never know. and if it does then it will be second best rpg of 07-08 behing mario galaxy.



the nintendo wii will outsell the ps3 and the 360 combined by the end of 2008.                           

        PS3 will out sell the 360 june 2010.                                                                      

  GOTY of 2008 is super smash brothers brawl.... hopefully.
