Forums - Microsoft - Fable 2 is going to be the best RPG of 2008. Easily.

i think fable 2 will surprise a lot of people. Its heading in directions that no other game before it has. and while fable was short with all the thing u could do in it i spent over 40 hours between 2 play through so it has some lasting appeal

FFCC is not turd. It is a good game. I haven't played the DS one (yet) but I'd bet it is a good game. And the Wii FFCC looks very excellen. Looks like typical FF x KH to me.


Well, if you haven't played it....

And we haven't heard/seen anything about Crystal Bearers in over a year! Seems more like vaporware.

It's no more vaporware than Final Fantasy XIII.

People need to stop picking and choosing which SE blackout titles are 'real' and just come to terms with the fact that we won't see anything until they're ready to let us see it.

I'm not sure with Fallout 3 on the horizons it can take GOTY but I'll be really happy with a bit longer story mode and more side quests. But then I really liked Fable, the combat engine was actually enjoyable since you could dodge and counter-strike enemies with ease, something even most current real-time RPGs still have issues with.

I will of course admit that the game was over hyped and perhaps I would be more pissed if I'd actually spent $50 buying it rather than taking advantage of EBs trade in 5 old worthless RPGs for it deal.

I reckon it has as good a shot as anything else thats coming out in 2008.  Obviously if FFXIII came out this year (in Japan) it would almost certainly be better, but I don't think there is another RPG this year who's victory over Fable 2 coud in anyway be called a sureity.

oh really resistance was higher rated then fable?

looks the same to me and uncharted got a 90 even though both resistance and uncharted are overrated generic tomb raider trash. Fable and the lost chapters are EXCELLENT experiences only a fool would think otherwise.

Resistance is tomb raider trash eh?....never heard that one before to be honest.  But here's something....if you are giving gamerankins as proof that Fable is just as good as resistance and Uncharted, then shouldn't that work in the opposite direction.  You can't just say that Resistance and Uncharted didn't earn their ratings yet Fable earned it's own rating.  There's no facts in that, only opinions.  And your last sentence about Fable definitely presumes you have some facts to back that up.
