Forums - Nintendo - Which 3DS Series Do You Want To See Transition to Switch?

Remember the news that Nintendo's gaming divisions (hardware, software, handheld, home) moved into one building to create better communication and flow to create games at a more efficient pace? Then combing that with the type of support given for the 3DS? There would be a much better flow of games coming throughout the years. This can improve upon the droughts and keep consumers interested.

Anyway, I think most, if not all, have stated the obvious. Kid Icarus, Pokémon, Fire Emblem, SMT, EO, Ace Attorney, Layton, Luigi's Mansion, Mario & Luigi, Dragon Quest, Monster Hunter, Yokai Watch, Rune Factory, Story of Seasons, Project X Zone, Kirby, Animal Crossing, etc. Combine this lineup with Splatoon, 3D Mario, Zelda, potential enhanced ports of Smash, Pokken, and Kart, Donkey Kong, Pikmin, and possible Metroid, Yoshi, Bayonetta 3, etc.

The Switch has potential if the dev teams come together and continue creating compelling software with the help of their partners from other companies. Western support would be great as well, but I want to see if they will do more than yearly games and uninspired ports (i.e. only ME3 when the whole trilogy was being released on other consoles). Zombi U (albeit flawed) and Rayman Legends were great examples of games with solid effort in tapping into the ideas of the hardware.

All of them. Just imagine how well a system would sell with the following games...

Monster Hunter 4.1 million copies for MH4.
Poke'Mon 14.7 for X/Y
Super Mario 3D Land 10.73 million
New Super Mario Bros. 5-10 million every game.
Mario Kart 14 million
Splatoon 4.17 million (That's insane for a new IP!!!)
Animal Crossing 10 million
Super Smash Bros 14 million combined sales.
Super Mario Maker 3.18 million

Here's the thing. With the switch people don't have to buy a 3DS *just* for poke'mon and Monster Hunter anymore. They also don't have to buy a Wii U *just* for Splatoon or MK8. People who always liked Nintendo games but didn't want to drop 200-300 on a system for just one or two games, can now get four or five games they really like all on one system.

Besides Pokemon........ Animal Crossing! I can't wait on what they will add next!

And of course Fire Emblem!!!!!

Pocky Lover Boy!

All

An actual 3D world real pokémon game
and that's it
want this to be treated as it is marketed : a home console.

Ace Attorney + Professor Layton

None. It's a home console by Nintendo.

I could imagine the EO3 remake being on 3DS in late 2017/early 2018, With Rune Factory I honestly see Marvelous making one in the vein of the Wii games outside of a direct Rune Factory 5

Considering how badly the console RF games did, I'm pretty sure they will avoid another console type spinoff and go for RF5 though..

I personally thought Frontier was really good. However I guess it just determines what was in development before Neverland Studio went under. Rune Factory 5 could still come out as a late 3DS title lol.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

Pokemon & Braverly

- Fire Emblem (Perfect opportunity for a return to the big screen)
- Pokemon (For obvious reasons)
- Tomodachi Life (sleeper hit that managed to sell over 5 million copies)
- Animal Crossing (Almost 10 million copies sold)
- Monster Hunter (3 million plus sales and stable track-record)
- Yokai Watch (strengthen up the weakening series)
- Kid Icarus (Different and unique series we need more of)
- Bravely Default (Bring jrpgs to a more mainstream audience in the west)
- Pokemon spinoffs (Why not?)
- Luigi's Mansion (Nearing 5 million copies sold)
- Ever Oasis (If its good it can be the next great new Nintendo IP)
