Well, there is no impact if it doesn't translate to sales. Maybe you mean something else with "impact" and you accept Switch won't see a different fate, necessarily, to that of the Wii U in terms of sales just because of the online discussion of it's reveal.

So then, what do you mean by impact? Mere online discussion of the product?

More views, more people, more opinions, so far the opinions are mostly positive, that's the impact. People said that Nintendo needs e3 to reveal the nx because then it would be difficult to advertise the thing, but they announced a 3 minutes trailer 12 hours before the reveal and the thing has more views and more discussion than the ps4 pro and xbox scorpio combined. It's not that hard to understand really.

Oh, if you are simply saying that you don't need e3 to advertize a reveal, then ok.

If anyone says though that these views are confirming in advance the success Switch will have in sales, then that is rubbish.

I don't have the numbers for Pro and Scorpio reveal but I will take your word for it.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Yeah, Nintendo were so hard to predict that almost the entire internet had already guessed the hybrid concept! I don't mind predictions because it at least causes conversation and dialogue.

Leak and predictions, different things with different functions

Yeah im not saying that switch is going to be more successful, but the announcement was a success.

That line that seperates the message from pictures isn't popping up

Yes

I'm going to give you a nice warning right here and now. Don't spam threads with a picture. It ain't funny and it isn't cute. So stop now.

I think you mean having a picture in your signature.

You must go to your profile settings and put the PlayStation picture there. A picture will appear under that "line" you were talking about each time you post.

Not contesting the decision at all, but I laughed my ass off at the final exchange with 2 pictures in it. No accounting for taste, I suppose. :)

For someone who hates people who use opinion as fact, there are a few things here that are opinion being passed around as fact. Lol.

Even funnier still since I said most likely making everything I said not being thrown around as facts. Get your facts straight.

My post in this thread wasn't even about you. No need to get so defensive.

I don't think you and I are trying to be offensive towards each other either, though it may be seen as that way.

It just echoed what you wrote to me. Yet somehow it's okay here.

First two instances in op seem more like opinions than predictions.

No I don't but really I don't know other people than gamers who got excited for the regular PS4 eithe;) and that thing is about as good selling and popular as a console can get.

Wrong, the ps4 was all over social media and mainstream sites, shows and news. The day sony killed the xbox was a big day, unlike the day of the ps4 pro.

Because there are a lot of gamers out there, like at least 100 million gamers judging the sales of previous gens, so when a new console gets anounced it is pretty obvious people care. But someone who doesn't give a crap about gaming does not give a crap about a new gaming console. Now I do agree that the NS is a bigger deal than a PS4 pro (it's a new console so it should be), I don't agree people not giving a shit about it. For instance my parents didn't give a damn the day the PS4 was unveiled neither did any of my non gaming students. In the Netherlands every major news site did report on the PS4 pro and the Nintendo Shift as well. But perhaps that is because we Europeans are a sucker for anything with the name playstation on it (except the Vita).

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
