Because there are a lot of gamers out there, like at least 100 million gamers judging the sales of previous gens, so when a new console gets anounced it is pretty obvious people care. Just tweak them a little and they can become predictions.  Such as Pokemon Go doesn't look that good and I don't see how any game would make young people let along adults walk around catching Pokemon so it will probably fail.  Something like that but better.

Ok, we're just going in circles now and i'm not contradicting myself. If I have to say it in as simple of a form as I have to for you:

I don't believe there is any 'most likely' scenario until the Switch is out or official details about specs and such are revealed by Nintendo themselves or by someone who actually owns one. If you do and you think that the 'most likely' scenario you made a thread about is how the Switch is gonna play out, then by all means think what you want just like I can think what I want, and what everyone in the world can think what they individually want.

Let's just agree to disagree.

I think the Pro and Scorpio are going to be pretty big deals. Building on the foundations of their predecessors and whatnot. Gaming, and gamers, are pretty mainstream in and of themselves, so something that exists within that realm, and is considered to be popular, is mainstream by default. imo. OT I love Nintendo. But they drove me into the arms of Sony and MS. I wanted a home console. Instead I get a tablet.

720p for a portable is just ducky for me. I'm more than fine with even the Vita's resolution. For small screens, it's well good enough imo. Is that really a sticking point for you? I will admit, I was less than enthusiastic when I read a post here that said it would render at 540p in docking mode. Kinda gross if true .I have to assume it's not.

dudeeeee  720p is more than enough for a tablet like this, and way better than the wii u gamepad. If the screen is good that's what matters. look at the vita, shines because the screen is oled, not because of the resolution. ipads and iphones  have better resolution but also more expensive.
