Love how people say 3 hour battery life is terrible and unacceptable when the 3DS launched with a 3-5 hour battery life.
Still would be great if it was possible to replace the battery WiiU gamepad style for a bigger one. Also this time use a standard charging port like Micro or Type-C USB. That way I don't have to carry a proprietary charger around and can easily use battery banks if necessary

And you know for a fact that those people didn't criticise the 3DS's battery life?

I think what meant is that the 3DS had that "issue" and still was successful

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

It ranged from 3.5 to 6 hours which is potentially double that of the Switch. It also wasn't actually very successful - until the massive price drop that is.

Which still made it sell great?Dropping prices and adjusting to the market is a viable action, you know.Or are you gonna say that the Switch will be considered a failure if it dosent sell well in the first 6 months, even if it goes to sell 100+ million lifetime?

Probably if it's lucky it will run on overclock mode on docking mode and run on down-clock mode on mobile mode (saving battery life , overheating problem ) while the purpose of the docking to give extra cooling , extra port and other extension for future upgrade (like PS4 pro or Xbox Scorpio) But no extra GPU, Ram or CPU on the docking.

now a days you can buy a dock with a Nvidia GTX 1080 and plug it into your macbook air lol. maybe nintendo will allow for power UPGRADES.

plug and play in an external GTX1070 in the future?

They can, if they have the thunderbolt 3.0 port on their docking system. Just wait and see

After hearing Ninten debunk this by saying the dock just displays this on the TV, I question the validity of this rumor. Though who knows, maybe Ninten's not being entirely truthful? Either way, I hope the battery life is more than 3 hours...

I don't take "More Powerful When Docked" as good news..

This means Developers have to do twice the work.. One for without the docking station and one for with the docking station.

Of course not but the original 3DS didn't sell huge numbers, didn't it? The XL came out the year after release.
