if MP3 had online it sould have been super, but there is RedSteel 2 coming!!! i hope it's good

 There are definitely reasons why the Wii doesn't have a high profile online FPS, controls are nowhere near the list though.

Even if a huge profile FPS was made for the Wii exclusively, I think it would struggle to reach 1 million copies. The FPS userbase just isn't there!

even though redsteel sold over a million? which was the only remotely high profile fps on the wii,

 not valid reasoning, how does the xbox360/ps3 alter the sales of a wii title?,

an advertised shooter will do wonders on the wii.

I think it will be a while till we see a non-Nintendo very good fps title. Even longer till we see an online one, I don't think Nintendo's online service is good enough yet. Maybe in a few years time.
