I thought they looked weird at first, but think about it, you can have half of the controller in one hand and half on the other without any union, you can play on any position, that seems confortable, they can also be used for local multiplayer like wii controles on horizontal and you can always use a normal gamepad instead if you don't like it.

Having this little detachable controllers make local multiplayer very accesible anywhere, which means you can play games like MK8 with your friend in college using one console, I think that, while one of the most divisive things now, is actually one of the coolest.

And of course if you don't like it you can always use this, since there is no gimick on the console the normal gamepad would be compatible with all games, so the detachable controls are totally optional

I think people are gonna like this, what is your opinion about it?

Noo not really

I'm into it! It's like download play with only one 3DS/DS :)

Plus I'm pumped that Nintendo is emulating the Xbox controller, the best on the market.

It's going to be weird using the dettachable ones. Specially because they have to use whateer buttons they have to play a game like if it were a regular controller. I'm sure it doesn't motion controlls.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

It doesn't look like the best way to play the game, but I like it anyway, because it's optional, and because you can play 2-player muliplayer without having to buy an extra controller. You essentially have 2 controllers when you buy the console.

Doesn't look that good to be honest

Holding one with two hands works if you are a kid, it's really small..
Holding one on each hand is an interesting concept, but putting the screen further away makes it harder to see the screen, so I feel it would be better just to leave it attached

All that matters to me is that its got unified games library.... and that it can work as a tablet too.

Nintendo allow a Ebook reader on it please? let it read epub/mobi ect.
And suddenly this is more than just a console for me.

You can use them like that when you are playing on TV too, on any position you like.

Those girls are young adults and it doesn't look specially small, is used mostly for games with simple controls, even if is not the best way, is an easy and quick way to play with friends and probably you get used to it, probably.

I'm not sure if I like the smaller controllers as separate. I think I'd either use the pro controller or use the joy-con grip accessory.

It's like a mini remote, the wiimote and nunchuck, but I would prefer holding it in both hands because it would be more natural to me :p
