Forums - Nintendo - What will the cost of a Nintendo Switch cartridge be?

Personally, I love catridges which have worked well for both the 3DS and VITA, but only when cost effective.  Remember the days of the N64?  Will we see something relatively similar with the Switch?

They seem close enough to the DS-3DS ones, so I assume the price will be similar.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Yeah... I'm not sure, I mean the largest Vita game I've seen is only... 4gb? The NX would have to support at least 32gb, I have literally no idea what the costs of that would be.

The games won't be any more expensive than ps4 at retail regardless.

Should be cheap since you can get 64gb ones for fairly cheap these days and the ones that Nintendo will be using will be read only which is significantly cheaper than the ones we can buy.

New cartridge based games for handhelds are  around $40.  Xbox One and PS4 games around $60.  A Switch cartridge game?   It makes you wonder.

Considering the support so far, probably not very expensive.

betwenn 40 to 60 dollars, depending on the game.Nothing new

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I imagine games on the Switch will be priced the same as home console games.

I think it would be priced the same as disks to be honest, so $60 USD without inflation, maybe $65-70 but no more than that
