Forums - Nintendo - is $399 a healthy price for Nintendo Switch?

$$$

Yes, make it $399 47 9.48%

No, $299 is enough for a Nintendo console 403 81.25%

I'd pay up to $449 19 3.83%

Take all my coins!!! 27 5.44%

Total:496

The pricing will probably be next week, and in a rumor there were two SKU's. Which is probably the handheld and the entire system for the other one. which was 300/400US. Which maybe worth it depending on the games, the power I'm not worried about it is the game. (Though I'm getting anyway.)

No this needs to be 249$ or so.

For 399$ you can get a PS4 pro, which might have 10 times as much power.
This needs to be cheaper than that.

With $400 it wouldnt sell to good, IMO price will be $299.

$399 would be a great price.

Not unless it has a HDD of 1TB, and about equal Power to the PS4pro.

The portable aspect means they can charge abit more than the power of the device suggests it should cost.

However at 399$ they would be hurting their own sales (I think).

The Sweet spot is around 249$ or so imo.

I mean it's basically two Nintendo consoles in one and it looks sleek. Let's talk about money.

This baby can be 399$. No problem with me and it will be worth it :)

$299.99 seems right. Very competitively priced for a gaming tablet. Bundle with a few games for $399.99. Wii U didn't have a portable aspect and had to slog through everyone getting a PS4/XB1. Now that most gamers have a device to play those lineups at home, I feel like Nintendo will be able to pull their core fans, 2nd console gamers, and even some mobile gamers with this thing.

Let's face it. For all we know, it's a handheld with detachable controlers and a charging station that hooks up to the TV. Remember that both 3DS and Vita had trouble justifying the $250 price? $399 would be suicide. I kinda think they may go low with the basic version and hope to earn extra cash by selling extra controlers later on. After all, they've earned sick cash on all the WiiMotes and Nunchacks back in the day. I'd like to see $250 max, but I $279 is also a possibility. Still, it all depends on the guts it has.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

$299 including a game tops, and even then I have my doubts.

not gonna lie, a Nvidia tegra chip handheld console has too be below 300.

Pardon my language but f*ck no.
