I hope one day one source/rumour pegs the NX's price at 600 dollars just for the lulz

Until we concrete details on the NX, we can't say whether or not a $350 price tag is too expensive.

The entire concept of he NX can't be made for a cheap price. I expect a disaster.

I hope people aren't overlooking this.  If it really is modular in design, with unique ports and pieces, then that will add to the manufacturing cost.  I think the baseline cost will be a bit higher than the standard box designs of the PS4/XO.  I would also be surprised if Nintendo isn't determined to turn a profit per-unit on Day One.

Hopefully it won't be a Wii U, situation, however, where its price is way higher than its specs.  Expensive gimmicks are a hard sell with a mass market product.

I hope they're right about the reveal but the price is referred to as speculation. They don't know how much it'll cost.

my thoughts too.  i mean the rumors could be just flat out wrong but as rumored the NX will be:

1. confusing to the mass market
2. expensive for the amount of power
3. jack of all trades, master of none

If it's 200 for the handheld and 150 for the added power box - it will be fine.

Launch price spurgeon, they need that extra quick buck from the most desesperated early adopter. And, man, have you seen such enthusiasm for any reveal before? I think the product will be sold out for a couple of months at least if it is indeed as cool as people say.

Also, I think 350 is the bigger Hard Drive and a free game, and the rumour has it that the NX includes all sorts of stuff. We will see.

I am burned for the lack of comunication from Nintendo, but will get interested again if they include a 500GB HD this time, I hate external drives.

The games will sell it. Unless the system has some outstanding gimmick like the Wii had. But still, Wii sports had ti be good, which it was.

Agree. Most people have 2 or three consoles nowdays, so a decent flow of exclusives do matter. They gotta have the GTAs, Fifas and CallofDuties, of course, but I guess that if they get all of the multiplataform games, they will be a shoe in in most gamer households.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

If true, that's a mistake. They should aim for something like $200.

I would buy it for $300, since it's the only place to play the best games on the market, but a lot of undecided buyers will balk at that price tag.

Nintendo needs to offer to consumers a low entry barrier, both in cost and technology.
