"With the Nintendo NX launching in a few months in all regions, the Japanese company surely has a very good idea about the console’s final name and features, despite leaving the public in the dark. A new image that has surfaced online a few hours ago might have revealed the console’s final name.

According to an image spotted by Twitter user MakuXV, which has been circulating on Japanese forums, the Nintendo NX will be called Nintendo Duo, an apt name considering the rumored hybrid nature of the Nintendo console. As it often is with similar images, it’s difficult to know if it is legit or not, so take it with a grain of salt until an official announcement comes in, which shouldn’t be too far now."

If this is the name at least it wont be confused with Wii, Wii U

I'm fairly sure this was an admitted hoax designed to see if gullible outlets would report it.

Ok first I heard of this. I should have looked arround the net more before posting.

I don't actually mind the "Duo" name. It could be worst, but at least duo expresses what the console is.(if hybrid is what it is). Better than Wii R.

Yeah, better than the alternatives... Wii Schizo... Two-Face Wii... etc  LOL

The logo design (if real) does somehow irk me,
the vents on the right side specifically, and overall concept of logo being profile of product itself seems dubious, 
but mostly that the "duo" text should be at same level (bottom) as nintendo, or fully at the top, not floating half-way.

I think it's a great name. It would of course be shorted to "duo" and that word sounds short, snappy, informative to the produxt and fun without sounding silly. I can totally imagine some saying "lets play duo".

I still think NX is a flawless name for the west and feels technologically exciting. Not sure how it sounds to the Japanese.

It sounds like some dating site.
