Not a fan of Borderlands?

I love Borderlands! But I've always found difficulty adding games like Deus Ex, Fallout, and Borderlands to the FPS bucket.

What do you guys think? FPS or RPG, or both?

Only great modern FPS are Metro, STALKER and Flying Wild Hog games (Hard Reset, Shadow warrior). Rage was good too, albeit somewhat short of greatness.
