Forums - Sony - PSVR review thread!

Love looking at the list, and the only negative is Kotaku. Literally, everything I see from Kotaku is negative opinions. It's like they're still stuck in a high school world where hating on things is considered super edgey and badass. Why does anyone take their opinion seriously anymore?

Seems about what I expected. An inferior but cheaper VR product that gets the job done. No killer VR apps yet imho, I'll wait a generation or two before I jump in most likely.

Curious to see how it sells. $400 for a peripheral is a lot of money.

I really want one of these, but unfortunately, my only chance to get one at the moment is by entering free codes each day on the Taco Bell contest site :)

one more week to go

I have so much money. Please, lord. Let me get my hands on a PSVR!

I think retailers will have some stock for launch day.

Hope so. I almost spent $800 on that Sony personal 3D viewer back in like 2010. I've BEEN ready for a while, now. Can't find any online and I don't want to be left out. Why is the economy so damn good?

Seems like a PS4pro will be a must. However i dont know if that will fix the PSEye problems with tracking. Sony really should of made a new PSEye or VREye.

It doesn't use the old PS Eye camera from Move, it used the new PS camera they released with the PS4.

Edit: It include the following upgrades:

Better resolution:

- PS Camera

- PS Eye

It has two cameras, so it adds depth perception. It also has a higher FoV (85 vs 75º).

While PSVR offers limited power and options compared to Rift and Vive, it is still a worthy “full VR” experience, offering the kind of virtual reality that can trick you into thinking you’re somewhere else. You can look over the edge of a cliff, dive at the bottom of the ocean, or even fly."

Thanks for the facts!

I'm more interested in the impressions 6 months to a year from now before jumping in.
