Well, colour me surprised. I really didn't expect him to like it, knowing that the guy really dislikes SS. I'll try to be less skeptical and read the reviews. Though I'm just too stubborn with this franchise, because it's probably my favourite Nintendo franchise after Zelda. But I can't deny the fact that some SS haters like me are giving the game good scores xD.

For me this is like a Nintendo Tearaway instead of something like TYD, you only have to accept that the series is going to another direction. It may be painful for some old time fans but at least is good to see they managed to make this new direction work, which sadly didn't happened with SS.

Yeah, but as you said the process is really, really, really painful. I don't really know if I'll ever accept this new direction. I'm not ready yet XD. But that was because of my experience with Sticker Star. Seeing one of your favourite franchises in a really bad shape hurts. I can see, based on clips, that the game has a way better writing and good humour overall, which is nice to see. It was just not there in SS, which is a bland, humourless game. The combat system though... I still don't imagine myself playing that combat system for 20, 30 hours. But it's intriguing that SS-haters are giving this game a free pass. Including the combat system, which now it seems it's not pointless (according to Gamexplain). I'm conflicted right now XD.
But, hey, as always, I'm glad that people are enjoying the game, and having fun with it. That's what matters.
