Oh. Well guess that's not gonna happen. If this whole thing was a work from the start, good for WWE, and if the WWE just reacted to the crowd reaction, good for them too. Nice little moment that helped make a pretty decent PPV more memorable.

Maybe... but I feel like it was so out of left field that I kind of feel like it wouldn't have been planned. But, if it was a work, hats off to them. I think it's more likely though that they didn't quite anticipate that reaction for R-Truth, and they realized they could make some more money out of this sitiation.

Having Liv Morgan destroy Nikki Bella on the mic and physically upon her return is certainly an interesting choice.
Punk vs Cena will be at night of champions, which I guess means Punk has acquired a taste for blood money soaked dicks (iykyk). I don't begrudge those who choose to do the saudi shows, but it does seem a wee bit hypocritical.
Just more ammunition for Cena, Seth, and Roman to use against Punk - the fact that he is working Saudi shows after what he had to say about Miz working Saudi shows.

No way in hell they're bringing it up. The $audi folks would not be happy about them addressing the moral grayness of the arrangement.
So, no cash-in. Gunther wins clean and is champion once again.
Of all the finishes I could've predicted, that was NOT one of them. So color me surprised.
Sami Zayn's chances of winning KOTR just sky rocketed. In fact, I think I see where this is going.
Sami wins KOTR, challenges Gunther at SummerSlam, and they build the story even further about how Sami has never won a world title and now this is his big chance inside MetLife to finally do it. Then, during the match's closing moments, JUST as he's FINALLY about to do it...
"BURRRN IT DOWWWWWN"
Seth comes down, cashes in MITB, and he screws Sami Zayn out of his dream moment - Just like he did to Roman at WM31. And that starts the long road to WrestleMania 42 back in Vegas where Sami has to go through Bron, Reed, the Royal Rumble, and overcome all the odds again to finally get Seth at WrestleMania and FINALLY win the world championship that has taken his entire 24-year career to win.
It's the Daniel Bryan story w/ a tinge of Chris Benoit sprinkled in.

R-Truth/Ron Killings getting a major run.
WWE was forced to re-sign him but under his own terms by the looks of it since he ignored all initial calls from WWE until Nick Khan called him.
I wonder if a World title is inked into the new deal - probably not the WWE World Title that Cena has but I can see Gunther's World Heavyweight title being given to R-Truth.
Would be funny if it was the WWE World title and not the World Heavyweight title.

One of the all time great shows on weekly TV. Brilliant form beginning to end. Mistico's Entrance is so emotional. Even the vendors stopped to sing with the crowd. Arena Mexico sells out weekly for decades. 16,500. This week was no different that that is a special atmosphere. Page doing an entire promo in Spanish. Mistico is showing he is the largest star in the largest Mexican promotion. The oldest promotion in the world. I hope this becomes yearly.
