I hope no one minds if I stir things up a little, but what would you think if Gears of war 2 was on blu ray. I loved gears; a beautiful game with great gameplay, but it had one flaw: it was too short. It took me and most people around 5 hours to beat the game. So if it was on a duel layer blu ray disk, you would have in theory enough room to make the game 20 hours or so. Would you not want that?
^In other words you mean port Gears of War 2 to the PS3?
or... make GeoW 3 multiplatform. ;)

They couldn't do that. It would force everyone who doesn't have the equipment to upgrade or outdate the system
games like that should be longer. the campign was dissapointing in both ways: no storyline and way to short.
gears 2 o 3 on blu ray means it gets ported to ps3 (hoping it will butt tehres a slim chance it will),
Gears of War 2 has as much chance as MGS 4 being ported = no chance

We have already seen that Blu-Ray has no relevance to game length at all. Bioshock was 25 hours long on one DVD9. Gears was 8-10 hours long on hardcore on a DVD9. Heavenly Sword, the PS3's biggest hitter last year, was 5 hours long with no multiplayer on Blu-Ray.
Uncharted was an adventure game and even it was only 10 hours long.
Fail.

IGN claimed they've played it. and they will show a video of it very soon. And they called every doubter to "suck it hard". :)

It would be good for the game in theory, but it's not going to happen. I think that Epic will have some better compression techniques for this one, though.
