When all this are equal or close I buy from companies from my home state or country-
A good example is Home Depot and Lowes - they are often located next each other, similar products and prices- So I always bought from Home Depot (head quartered/founded in my home state) - Then Home Depot Hired Nardelli from GE as CEO- they paid him a ton of money and he ruined the rep and service of Home Depot- nearly ruined the company- So I started shopping at Lowes for years after instead- they capitalized on Home Depots mistakes and service at Home Depot had become terrible-
Home Depot finally mad changes and it took years to gain back their reputation - so years later I am back at Home Depot - Loyalty is good but being blindly loyal is not- you don t want to reward a company going in the wrong direction-
As far as products made, it is more ad more difficult to find products not made in China which sux because the quality is often poor and quality control is terrible -

I try to buy local produce when it comes to fruit, veggies and other food products. And by local I mean in a 50 - 100 km radius.
Nothing to do with patriotism though, it's healthier for the environmet that way.

As for buying an inferior product because it was produced in your country? No. Why would I?

They aren't even the same genre. The product has to be more comparable. I will without a doubt take a Forza game over Gran turismo not only because Forza is better than GT, but because it is made by American publisher.

If it's important for your country's economy I buy it.

Like for example I prefer to buy Scandinavian diary products and other food stuffs over Germanic or Polish to support our farmers and our own state economy.

But when it comes to cars and electronics there are usually so many other factors that decide the outcum rather than the origin of the product.

As for the OP: Not that there is often a choice, but I will buy products produced in the USA over products produced internationally unless there is a great disparity in price or quality.

i'll buy white goods like fridges,washing machines etc if they are manufactured in the uk as it helps to keep them open as long as they are not complete shite of course and i bought a sofa because it was made here too,i always have a check and try but not on everything

not many uk owned companies left but if they still have factories here i try and support that when i can

Forza Horizon is published by Microsoft meaning money goes to Microsoft's hands which boosts our economy. Nice try tho :)
