Gaming isn't their main thing tbh as Tesco is equivalent to stores like Sainsbury, Walmart etc... They've put a high place holder price because of what happened with the Wii U pre-orders. Stores initially put the pre-orders up for £200, unfortunately for these stores many have a price guarantee policy so when the U was revealed to be £250 for the basic and £300 for the premium they made losses, by putting a high price however they can simply lower the price later and not make any losses.
Tesco likely feel it won't be that price but lower so have the place holder at that for safety.
