Why shouldn't MS point out they have 4K UHD support? If the shoe was on the other foot, I'm sure Sony would.
IMO while Sony will probably never admit it, I think PS4 Pro was rushed to market because they caught wind of Scorpio and knew they couldn't just ride out the vanilla PS4 for another 2-3 years.

That's rather ridiculous. Rumors of a "PS4 Neo" and its specs were spreading way before we heard anything about Project Scorpio. At the time, MS were even saying they don't believe in ".5" mid gen refresh consoles and whatnot. Hardware like the PS4 Pro are also not things you can rush to market. They require R&D and years of preparations.
MS are the ones who reacted to Sony. The rumors about the PS4 Neo turned out to be true. MS knew the specs long before commiting to their new XBox, and adjusted their Project Scorpio in accordance to what Sony was doing. That's as obvious as obvious is.
If the PS4 Pro had been a reaction to Project Scorpio, Sony would have waited longer to launch it, and had made its specs more in line, if not superior, to the Project Scorpio. There is no reason to rush such a thing to market if it's in reaction to something the competition will release over a year later. Sony isn't in a situation where they need to be desperate and rush a new console to market. They're at the top position this gen.
@OP: As for the Tweets from Greenberg and Hryb, yes they are petty and come off as pecking crumbs. But Sony should have included a UHD BD player in the console they claim is made to push 4K to the mainstream. MS took advantage of a stupid decision Sony made. I personally don't care much about it, since I'm getting the Scorpio when it'll come out and it will have a UHD player if I ever buy a UHD BD movie. But it's still stupid that one of the creator and most vocal marketer of a disc format ends up omitting its inclusion in a console that claims to be all about 4K media. MS saw an open door, and acted accordingly. Besides, if it stings for Sony to read such tweets, it must be because there's some truth to them.
