Forums - Gaming - I think reviewers should let us see their Trophies/Achievements

Playing certain games, I often find my opinion differing from reviewers.  I tend to buy what I think  I'll like but I can't try everything.  In some instances, I have to rely on reviewers.  I can appreciate that they have deadlines and limited time to get their reviews out and, I hope they act in good faith but sometimes, I question how much of the game they've actually played.

Some games start off great and fizzle out. Others start off slowly and grow on you. A few maintain their greatness from beginning to end.  If a reviewer only plays four or five hours, I might see why they come to the conclusions they do.  If there's a site where I can readily look up their profile and see how much of a reviewed game theyve actually played, I could respect thema lot more.

Any thoughts?

If a game cant win me over in 4 hours, it probably wont for the rest of the story.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

When was the last time you read a review? I don't remember when it was for me.

It all depends on the reviewer. If you can find a reviewer that shares some of your likes and dislikes then reading their review might be informational. But you are right, seeing their trophies would tell you how much effort they put into that particular game.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

I.... I can't remember.

Usually after I finish a game to see if we agree but I haven't even done that lately. But I still have my doubts about if the actually play/finish the games they review.

Now that review in progress is a trend, I'd like to see the footage of their progress. Some reviewers suck mosquito balls are playing certain games.

If I disagree with a reviewers subjective opinion on a game their chievies won't make me all the sudden agree with them.

I am on the other side of my sig....am I warm or cold?

Marco....

I remember everyone sided with a reviewer that only played small section of a game but gave the game bad review, and was loved for it because he stood up against advertisement on his site. It was a shit review, it was shit reviewer, and he was in the wrong.

I agree, i feel like some reviewers barely touch some of these games.

In saying that I've stopped reading reviews and even looking at scores for games now. I want that feeling of playing a game with a completely unbiased opinion now instead of trying to find the problems i remember reading in someones review.
