'Taking a break' 2/3rds through a game, then not touching it for months/years. By the time I finally come back, I might as well restart from the beginning.

And the cycle continues...  Over and over again, lol.

Picking up every heart or rupee I come across in a Zelda game, even when maxed out.

Reload after one shot.

Hoarding in RPGs just in case I MIGHT need something...never know when a fork will come in handy.

Yours just reminded me of another bad habit I have:  I have to cut EVERY blade of grass I come across in Zelda.  Every.  Single.  One.  I probably don't need to play Breath of the Wild, lol.

I periodically have unhealthy obsession with trophies on PS3. I hate that feeling when everything in the game becomes a nuisance even if it's a game that I love, and all my attention is towards getting that worthless trophy.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Reload after one shot even though I have 100+ bullets left.

Its even worse in Overwatch where there are characters who have unlimited ammo and requires no reloading but I still try to reload.

I hear you...

In Telltale games I play as a mute just to see the reactions over and over.

I would:
-spend hours cutting grass or digging in a Zelda game;
-have several saves for every possible moment i might want to re-experience (mainly, Final Fantasy series).
-not finishing a game
-reset the game entirely when I die and redo the entire scene. I don't know if it ever counts anymore but this was mainly influenced by Link To The Past where the save file will count how many times you had died.

I don't know if this counts but I have several games unopened waiting to be played. In some cases, I'd have a digital copy of that same game.

Finally I understood what these two VG Cats strips were about!
