Nah, I have 4k TV but I also have a PS4. Without a better upgrade to the CPU I don't see the point of picking one up.

This. plus no memory increase, 4k textures take up more memory so they should have increased that, its just a fancy rendering sollution, the PS5 will be worth buying, the PRO will be nice for new costumers.

I am not getting a 4k Pro. I already have a console that plays all its games in 1080p, so it would be a waste of money.

I will spend my money on more worthwhile systems like the NX. While we still know nothing about it, we at least know it will have its own exclusive library of games.

I'm waiting until I hear more about what improves in games I care about.

Im getting one because i suspect it will help FFXV hold a solid framerate

Locked 20 is a solid frame rate, right?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

A friend of mine is. He doesn't care about 4K. He's done with the resolution race. Even when 4K is a norm. And those are the only TV's available. He's still just gonna be using 1080 stuff.

Nah, it's locked 24fps... for that cinematic effect! :P

I'm quite sure that 20fps is by definition more cinematic. Also 900p to be able to add black borders.

Ill be getting it either way. I do have a 4K TV that supports HDR, but even if I didnt, I want the most powerful playstation console I can get for the best experience possible.

Yes, if the pro has benefits to PSVR. It's still too early to buy a 4K tv or projector.
Plus my hdd has been full for over a year, need a new one :p

If Playstation was my main platform, I would buy it in a heartbeat even without a 4k tv.

In this multiple iteration console gen, I wouldn't truth 3rd party's with optimizing the lowest common denominator console well.

Now just how cinematic are we talking? Because I won't take anything less than silent gameplay while a guy plays a piano beside my screen!

I'm personally a fan of each frame being hand-painted and a projector then being hand-cranked showing the images. Complete with 15 fpd*
