Another day another laugh for Microsoft

I'm glad MS is capitalizing on this mistake by Sony. Sony sure didn't hesitate to capitalize on Microsoft's mistakes with the XB1 announcement.

It might look like a mistake, but having quality control on mods is better than having all of them many of which will be unstable.

I thought MS had become friendly, but its now clear they just wanted to look good and now that the oppurtunity arised, they take a jab at Sony. Still its a PR mistake for Sony though, they of all people should know how important good PR is.

I wonder how much abuse Sony's fan hold before breaking.

So funny.

Mods have been working flawlessly on the XOne, some even make the game run better. I haven't had any problems or crashes in more than 20 hours playing with them.

Of course I only got the best reviewed and most popular. There is no "shit show" as far as I know... Different from No Man's Sky

Valve should send out a tweet making fun of them!  Arrogant Microsoft is back and I love it!  There were playing the nice guy for a while there and it doesn't suit them.  I doubt Sony will take the bait but it's entertaining none the less.

Agreed, I like the confident Microsoft MUCH more than the humble one. They are doing well this year and they know it. Nothing wrong with showing it, as Sony has done the same thing this entire generation. Even if this doesnt cause a surge in Xbox One sales, they should keep this attitude.

Pride vs standards.

pride vs pride

Pride vs ensuring quality control on their platform.  It's called standards.  I'm shocked Microsoft doesn't require it. Obviously looking like the good guy was more important to them.

Is it really that "unfriendly"? They allowed mods back in May. It becomes topical and they tweet out that they allow them without making any direct references. Seems pretty fair game to me to remind people what their stand is since the topic has hit the news.

Lol what is Sony even doing lately. It's like they're trying their hardest to give the Xbox One things to promote over them and to just look bad in general lately.

No 4K UHD Support for their 4K System
No Mods on PS4

Not to mention that it was only like 2 weeks ago that they brought up PS + price just because they wanted more money from it.

There's a reason the term "Arrogant Sony" exists, and I say this as someone that has bought a PS2, PS3, and currently owns a PS4.

lol quality control and standard, mods works fine on xb1 stop spinning

Are mods damaging xbox one consoles? what is this quality you're talking about cause I've not seen any news saying that mods are damaging the performance of the xbox one.

I have to agree with Bethesda, that level of QA is unneccesary. Users can decide what they want to download themselves, the user rating system will help to weed out the bad mods.

I agree with this. Sony should go back on their decision, they have been making too many mistakes lately and MS has been making many good decisions and they have a lot more games cvoming out in the holidays so its only going to get better for them xD

The post as a whole wasn't in good taste though :P

Are you really trying to spin Microsoft supporting mods on their console and Sony not as somehow a negative on Microsoft and a positive on Sony? More options are never a bad thing. Lol @ Sony won't allow it because their ensuring "quality control", I haven't heard of anything bad to come out of mod support on the Xbox One so far.
