The PS4 Pro should have had a better CPU. It will be outdated next year when Scorpio launches with better specs, which was a huge selling point for PS4 over XB1. Sony have started to make bad choices again with their hardware.

Stronger hardware was never a huge selling point.
Games, price AND power where PS4 selling points, power was heavily talked about because it achieved it even being cheaper.

Stronger hardware is a selling point these days. Many people I know have gone from console to PC gaming due to better hardware and performance in games. People have become more tech savvy now and the internet ensures that everyone gets to know when there is a performance and graphics difference in a game between each platform. Its not good PR when your console is much weaker and they are missing the high end gamers with this. If they had another better option like 4.9 Tflops with all existing games running at 60fps I might have bought it at $500. Now I don't intend to buy a PS4 Pro.

Because they dont want to give any fps advantages to games.
Imagine a normal shooter players 30 fps on the old PS4, but playings 60 fps on the PS4 pro.

Man people would be butthurt over it.
"Im only loseing online in shooters, because Im on the old PS4 model."
"Man is PS4 pro some BS, cheat that they have 60 fps and we dont"

If we had 1080p60, people will older models would be complaining instead.

Why p*ss off the 45m or so normal PS4 users?

I would've preferred 1080p60FPS at Ultra settings, but I'm happy either way.All I wanted was a better experience for Sony's exclusives and a decent graphical experience on FFXV to hold me until it releases on PC, they achieved both of those things with the Pro so I'm happy.

That happens on PC but no one complains there. 60fps doesn't massively improve gameplay on most games.

Also they could just put it in singleplayer modes in games, that's still better than not having it.

Don't you love the millions of threads and complaining ont he internet about that on PC's.

I'm always hearing about people complaining their pc only does 30 fps, while another does 120 fps.

I used to suck at FPS, but then i upgraded and now with me doing 120 fps, I'm constantly on top of the leaderboards.

extra FPS won't make a difference games online. Especially when considering consoles, where they have the whole auto aim thing

I think the real take away from these threads is that we have a whole slew of Xbox gamers interested in PSPro. Come on in, the waters fine (:

OT: up to the devs, always has been, 60fps was achieved on PS2 so it's really a matter of priority. Better graphics evidently markets better than higher frames or more pixels. Diminishing returns? Idk

Sony should make it a requirement as its taking away many gamers from console to PC as 60fps matters a lot to many people.

By your logic everyone should go PC then because there we have option over gfx settings, resolution and fps.

PS4Pro is great value for money. Xbone2 will be 100$more and the difference will be similar to what PS4 is having over Xbone ATM. PS4pro running at 1440P and Xbone2 at 1800P

As far as fps boost goes. I think they will release a list of older game getting a patch. All newer games will be supported but not sure exactly what will be in 1080Pmode. I guess better aa and smooth fps is a given. With PSVR games I guess solid 60fps is minimum. So those will be fine

Some people like console gaming and PlayStation exclusives. Most people are going to PC though, due to cheaper games, better hardware and the option of configuring graphics and framerate.
