The more time passes the more I appreciate the early 3D polygon games of the PS1 era. Their charm is growing on me, especially if u have something like a framemeister upscaler, seeing them in pristine quality on a hdtv is amazing.

Final Fantasy IX, Symphony of the Night ( the grandfather of Metroidvanias, along with Super Metroid), the Crash trilogy, Chrono Cross.. There are other games, but I can't think of them right them.

There are a few games that hold up very well for their distinct art style. Cannot recommend enough that everyone goes and plays Tomba! 2 on PSN.
